CANopen Device Manager for Windows 7

The new release of the IXXAT CANopen Device Manager now supports 32 and 64 bit Windows 7 operating systems.

The CANopen Device Manager is an universal, plug-in based CANopen test and development tool that offers user friendly access to CANopen services and protocols specified in CiA 301, CiA 302 and CiA 305. In addition to numerous improvements, the CANopen Device Manager is now also supported under Microsoft’s latest 32 and 64 bit Windows 7 operating systems.

Customers who have ordered the software after 1/1/2010 will get a free update to the latest version. For older software versions updates are offered at attractive prices.

canAnalyser – New version 2.8 available

New features simplify operation and interaction with other tools

IXXAT’s canAnalyser is a powerful analysis tool for CAN, CANopen, SAE J1939 and DeviceNet systems. Both in the development area, for data analysis and device/system stimulation, and for commissioning and troubleshooting, the canAnalyser is successfully used worldwide and proven in practice.

With the new version 2.8, canAnalyser was extended in terms of usability and interaction with other tools.

I/O gateway for CAN and CANopen systems

With its new CANio 500, IXXAT offers a flexible I/O gateway for the easy and quick connection of analog and digital input and output signals to CAN and CANopen systems – whether in experimental setups, component test stands or vehicles.

A key feature of the device are the inputs and outputs for digital and analog signals, which can be configured very flexible. The device has each four analog inputs and outputs with a 12 bit resolution. The analog inputs are available with different voltage ranges, as well as with differential input circuits or current inputs. The output voltage range can be individually programmed in the working range of -10 V to +10 V for each analog output.

CAN Seminars in Santa Clara, CA

CAN / CANopen Seminar on Dec. 7-9, 2010.

IXXAT, Inc. will be conducting a three day seminar providing a detailed look into Controller Area Network (CAN) analysis, testing, monitoring and troubleshooting plus an introduction to CANopen.

Unlike conventional CAN training seminars, IXXAT utilizes small class sizes and ensures that each participant obtains a working knowledge of CAN recommended methods and practices.
The seminar will consist of three separate training sessions:

(I) Introduction to CAN,
(II) CAN Network Analysis and
(III) Introduction to CANopen.

VCI driver supports Windows7 32/64 bit and LIN

The latest version 3.3 of IXXAT’s Virtual CAN Interface (VCI) now also supports 32 and 64 bit Windows 7 operating systems.

The VCI CAN driver supports all CAN interfaces offered by IXXAT and enables the development of customer-specific PC based applications as well as the operation of IXXAT’s CAN tools.

Customer specific applications can be programmed using the included .Net or C API. At this, the common application interface of the driver allows to easily switch between the interfaces without any adaptation or the customer application. Furthermore, the integration into LabView is directly supported by LabView VIs.

Analysis and surveillance of CAN networks

The analysis and diagnostic tools from IXXAT have been complemented by the new CBT2 and CANobserver, enabling an even easier analysis and monitoring of CAN networks during development, manufacturing and service.

The new CBT2 enables the fast and yet detailed analysis of the signal quality in CAN networks. Due to the various trigger modes and the integrated oscilloscope, errors can easily be analyzed and thus causes of errors can be detected and fixed quickly.

CANobserver with new features

As of now, IXXAT delivers the CANobserver with an extended functionality.

The device is now able to automatically send e-mails to inform the user about faults within the communication system more quickly. This also enables to plan maintenance operations before system failures happen. Furthermore, the internal memory has been expanded by five times: Instead of the previous four, now the device comes with 20 data sets providing a storage capacity for up to 10 years. The third new feature is the SAE J1939 protocol support. Besides CAN, CANopen and DeviceNet, the CANobserver supports now also SAE J1939 systems.

New CANopen extension for canAnalyser

With the new version 3.02 of the CANopen module, IXXAT offers a revised and considerably extended version of its proven CANopen extension for the canAnalyser.

The CANopen module is an extension for the canAnalyser 2.7, enabling the display of received layer-2 messages according to the CANopen notation. At this, received messages are analyzed according to the communication objects defined in the CANopen protocol and assigned to the nodes. The message content is extracted and displayed in plain text.

Upcoming CAN & CANopen Seminar

USA Seminar SeriesIXXAT, Inc. to host a three day CAN and CANopen Training Seminar at its Bedford, NH offices, near the Manchester airport.

IXXAT, Inc. will be conducting a three day introduction into Controller Area Network (CAN) and CANopen. Unlike traditional CAN and CANopen training seminars, IXXAT utilizes small class sizes and lab demonstrations to insure that seminar participants obtain a working knowledge of CAN and CANopen technology.
