The CANopen and J1939 modules for the canAnalyser are now available in new and expanded versions. The new features include enhancements at the user interface, the import/export of data and the interpretation and display of data. Customers already using the version 3.x of the CANopen module or version 1.2.x of the J1939 module can update the corresponding module for free to the latest version (220.127.116.1195 CANopen module, J1939 Module 18.104.22.16830).

With the new ECI driver IXXAT offers a powerful programming interface for its CAN interfaces, specially adapted to the requirements of embedded applications. CAN-based control and test systems can thus be realized easily and quickly, both in the industrial and automotive area.
The latest version of the ECI is available for QNX (6.5.0), INtime (3.14, 4.2, 5.0), RTX (6.5.1, 8.1.2, 2012) as well as for Linux.
IXXAT now offers on its website a firmware update for the CANblue II. The new firmware with the version number 2.00.10 is installed by default on devices with the version number 1.2 or higher. Via firmware update, customers can update older devices with the latest firmware version 2.00.10.
Reduction of delays during message transmission in bridge mode as well as hiding of CANblue II devices during bridge operation by disabling the automatic Bluetooth device search in SHORTEST_LATENCY mode.

IXXAT’s IEEE 1588 protocol stack enables the fast and easy development of IEEE 1588 conform devices. Due to the broad functional range, continuous development and the wide distribution, IXXAT’s IEEE 1588 protocol software can be considered as the leading 1588 reference implementation.
The new release 1.04 now also supports the Intel PCI network card “Intel Ethernet Server Adapter I340-T4″ under Linux, enabling the high accurate system time synchronization on standard PCs using IEEE 1588.
A new version 4.2.0 of the EtherNet/IP software is now available for the following software packages:

IXXAT and SoC-e offer a complete IEEE 1588 solution for Xilinx FPGAs.
IXXAT Automation and System on Chip engineering (SoC-e) Bilbao in Spain started a cooperation on IEEE 1588 in the beginning of 2011. By combining SoC-e’s IP core for Xilinx FPGAs and IXXAT’s field-proven PTP protocol software, a new powerful IEEE 1588 solution was created. SoC-e’s customers can now benefit from IXXAT’s PTP software, which is designed for highly accurate synchronization applications. The protocol software is field-proven in a wide range of applications while being comprehensively supported and maintained by IXXAT.
The VCI V3 (Virtual CAN Interface) can be used for the development of customer specific applications and to run the IXXAT tools under Windows 7 (32/64 bit) and Windows XP/2000/Vista. At this, the latest release 3.4.1 provides, besides a .Net and C-API, also a JAVA-API. Furthermore, the new FlexRay interface board FR-IB100/PCIe is supported.
The new release of the IXXAT CANopen Device Manager now supports 32 and 64 bit Windows 7 operating systems.
The CANopen Device Manager is an universal, plug-in based CANopen test and development tool that offers user friendly access to CANopen services and protocols specified in CiA 301, CiA 302 and CiA 305. In addition to numerous improvements, the CANopen Device Manager is now also supported under Microsoft’s latest 32 and 64 bit Windows 7 operating systems.
Customers who have ordered the software after 1/1/2010 will get a free update to the latest version. For older software versions updates are offered at attractive prices.
New features and extended hardware support
The precise time synchronization of devices in distributed applications, like measurement, telecommunication and automation systems as well as in the automotive sector, is increasingly becoming an important requirement. The Precision Time Protocol (PTP) according to IEEE 1588 meets this requirement by enabling a highly accurate synchronization of distributed devices over Ethernet down to the nanosecond range.
New features simplify operation and interaction with other tools
IXXAT’s canAnalyser is a powerful analysis tool for CAN, CANopen, SAE J1939 and DeviceNet systems. Both in the development area, for data analysis and device/system stimulation, and for commissioning and troubleshooting, the canAnalyser is successfully used worldwide and proven in practice.
With the new version 2.8, canAnalyser was extended in terms of usability and interaction with other tools.
