Content Based on the cooperation between IXXAT and KW-Software, the IEC 61131-3 compliant runtime environment ProConOS and the develompment environment Multiprog are now offered with CANopen support. Main feature of this solution is a full integration of the CANopen manager (master) into ProConOS and the CANopen configuration tool in Multiprog. In comparison to other solutions, ProConOS and the CANopen manager can be integrated on one CPU with internal CAN controller. Thus a wide range of CANopen features for configuration, monitoring and data exchange is offered with respect to CiA301 and CiA302. Besides of the reduction of hardware costs, a single CPU based solution offers considerable advantages regarding performance and functionality...

Content Specifically for the automotive area, IXXAT offers its USB-to-CAN II in an automotive version with integrated LIN interface and switchable high/low-speed CAN interfaces.

For the connection to the PC and the integration into customer specific applications, IXXAT delivers the interface with its driver DLL (VCI V3), which enables time-synchronous layer 2 analysis of CAN and LIN networks.

CANopen Master API Version 5.0 Download/Link
Date May 2007
Word2000
(DOC: 38 kB)

Content The CANopen Master API is a software package that allows an easy development of CANopen master applications such as control, service and test programs under Windows.

With the new version 5.0 of the package IXXAT again extends the software functionality.Besides a multiple independent CAN channel support for the iPC-I XC16/PCI, tinCAN161 and USB-to-CAN II the package also supports the LSS master functionality according to CiA 305 (CANopen Layer Setting Services and Protocols) and the Flying Master mechanism (specified in CiA 302).

IEEE 1588 announced for use with AMCC’s PPC405EZ Networked Industrial Processor Download/Link
Date April 2007
Word2000
(DOC: 34 kB)

Content AMCC’s PPC405EZ networked industrial processor is now available with an IEEE 1588 Precision Time Protocol (PTP) from IXXAT.

The IEEE 1588 protocol software from IXXAT enables users to quickly and easily develop IEEE 1588-compliant devices. IXXAT’s IEEE 1588 protocol software has a modular structure, insuring fast integration into the target system. Interfaces to the target platform are compiled in a separate adaptation layer that considerably simplifies porting to the PPC405EZ...

FlexRay rest bus simulation with FlexRay CCM and MultibusAnalyser Download/Link
Date February 2007

(DOC: 36 kB)

Picture
(JPG: 560 kB)

Content The FlexRay rest bus simulation provides a simulation environment for one or more control devices, so that they can be tested independently of other nodes. This includes the generation of message traffic that is necessary for the device to be tested and reaction to messages.
Based on the powerful PC Interfaces for FlexRay and CAN, the FlexRay CCM, IXXAT offers a tool for the analysis and residual bus simulation with full FIBEX support...

Powerlink Starter Kit Download/Link
Date February 2007

(DOC: 36 kB)

Picture
(JPG: 560 kB)

Content The new Powerlink Starter Kit from IXXAT contains a Controlled Node, which consists of a basic board with a Phytec microcontroller module and a Powerlink FPGA module, a Managing Node PC card as well as all necessary software packages and drivers for the implementation of a Powerlink system.

The Powerlink FPGA module serves as a universal Powerlink interface for the microcontroller module, on which a corresponding host application can be developed. The host API for controlling the Powerlink FPGA module is included in the scope of supply in C-source code.Device vendors can integrate the Powerlink module from IXXAT or the hardware design instead of the plug-in module directly in their own circuit. Customers’ own applications can thus already be developed before availability of the actual target hardware based on various evaluation modules from Phytec (microcontroller) or Spectrum Digital (TI DSPs) using the Powerlink host API...
